Mythili Anoop is an ICCR-empanelled artist of Mohiniyattam. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Fine and Performing Arts Department of GITAM University, Hyderabad. She has undergone advanced training under Guru Kalamandalam Kshemavathy, Guru Sadanam Balakrishnan, and Guru Nirmala Panikker. She completed four phases of the Navarasasadhana workshop at Natanakairali under Guru G Venu. Mohiniyattam: A Language of Feminine Desire and Scripting Dance in Contemporary India (2018) is a publication resulting from her doctorate from IIT Bombay on the Semiotics of Mohiniyattam. The Bird of Time, her dance film based on Sarojini Naidu’s poem premiered at IAAC’s Erasing Borders Festival of Indian Dance 2022.
