Kamesh Ramakrishna Aiyer grew up in Mumbai, graduated from IIT-Kanpur, and received his PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie-Mellon University, specializing in artificial intelligence. He has been a professor and software engineer, a software architect for foundational products, and a CTO for a start-up among other things. For over twenty years, he has been an avid student of history, archaeology, science, and philosophy, and has been drawn to the latent interconnections between them. The Last Matriarchs of Hastinapura (2023) is the second volume in his Fall of the Kurus series. The first book, The Making of Bhishma (2019), received international critical acclaim.
