Nirmala Shenoy is a practicing contemporary artist who currently works as an art teacher. She received her BFA in Painting and Visual Communication (2020) from the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad, and her MFA in Painting (2022) from the University of Hyderabad. She received the University Gold Medal and the Pervaram Santaji Gold Medal for the best Outgoing Student in BFA (2020) and Dr Kondapalli Sheshagiri Rao Student Excellence Award (2019) at JNAFAU, Hyderabad. Besides being a practicing contemporary artist, she conducted research on Kaavi art.
