Tanmay Santra is an artist, teacher and occasional writer. He studied Painting at Indian College of Arts & Draftsmanship, Kolkata and MFA in Painting from Kala Bhavan, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan. He received Junior Fellowship from Govt. of India (2002-04), ‘Artist Dinkar Thopate Award’ from TST, Pune (2005), and ‘City Award for Hyderabad’ from PDAF, Mumbai (2017). He has held several group shows and two Solo shows: ‘Inheriting the Earth’ at SSVAD, Santiniketan (2012) and ‘Domicile-Domain-Dominion: Tales of a Changing Land’ at Goethe-Zentrum, Hyderabad (2012). He has been teaching Painting at Sarojini Naidu School of Arts & Communication, University of Hyderabad since 2007.
