Like every year, Nanha Nukkad at HLF 2025 has an exciting line-up of fun-filled activities for children. From interactive storytelling sessions, poetry writing workshops, children’s spy stories and activity-based book readings.  Today when children are increasingly getting addicted to blue screens, we endeavour to bring them into the wonderful world of reading and embark on an adventure of stories filled with mystery and magic. Here is a brief round-up of the exciting events:

  •     An enchanting storytelling for tiny tots by Star Papaya where a whole lot of figurines play mats and props will be used to bring beloved tales to children.
  •     Eat the Rainbow—a storytelling and cooking workshop where children learn the importance of eating fruits and vegetables by making a physical rainbow with them and then turning them into a yummy smoothie.
  •     A reading and poetry writing workshop with the renowned children’s writer Shobha Tharoor Srinivasan who will be reading from her latest book, It’s Time to Rhyme and will inspire them to write a few lines on their own.
  • A thrilling and mystery-filled story session with Savie Kernel who will read from her book, Laxmi Panda: The Story of Netaji’s Youngest Spy and engage the children in an exciting spy game.
  •     Unlock the magical world of stories with Parvati Gupta from The Story Quilt as she unravels stories and helps children weave their own with paper and colours.
  •     Join Vikas Prakash Joshi as he reads from his book My Name is Cinnamon which has been translated into several Indian languages and then intrigues the children with a quiz and prompts them to write their own story.
  •     Exciting storytelling sessions with Lavanya Karthik as she takes the children through the exciting journey of a seed.
  •     Reading and storytelling with Abhisheka Krishnagopal as she reads from her book, Ila, my wild mongoose friend and talks about the animals we encounter in cities and how we can care for them.
  •     A performative storytelling by Little Dipper where Anusha Veluswamy will take the children through her book, Where is Mr. Thookam and engage them in a colouring activity.

Come join us on an exhilarating journey of stories, poetry, and a whole lot of fun at Nanha Nukkad @ HLF 2025!
