This edition of The NRB’s Youngistaan Nukkad at Hyderabad Literary Festival is a vibrant initiative that brings together art, live music, and poetry to create a dynamic platform for self-expression and community engagement. Focused on empowering youth and fostering creativity, Youngistaan Nukkad stands for celebrating the dreams, passion, aspirations, stories and voices of the youth. Through live music performances, poetic recitals, open mics and art displays, Youngistaan Nukkad encourages dialogue on social issues, celebrates diverse talents, and promotes cultural exchange. This initiative not only nurtures young artists but also connects them with their communities, making art and expression accessible to all while inspiring positive social change.
Some highlights:
- The Real Talk – ‘Broken but beautiful’, a conversation on women bodies with Priya Malik.
- Musical Storytelling – ‘Ilaa of Paithan’ is a story on gender equality narrated live with musical compositions.
- The Author’s Spotlight – A session with the author of A game of two halves, Rishav Ray from Kolkata, a book that revisits the glorious days of 11 clubs that made Indian football invaluable.
- Workshops: -YN includes a cosplay workshop where you learn to designed to help you bring your favourite characters to life.
- Mann ki Mehfil – This year we have a conversation with Neelesh Misra on ‘The beauty of slowing down’ wherein we speak about slowing down, recharge, and live with greater clarity and intention.
- The Film Lab – A panel discussion on ‘Everyone is a filmmaker at heart’ with Praveen Kandregula, director of Cinemabandi and Paradha alongside Vamsi Bhasham, an aspiring filmmaker and moderated by Shriya Gupta!
- Daastan-e-dil – This session is all about bringing music and poetry coming together to create the perfect aura of blissfulness.
- Open Mic – Our OG segment of open mic will be back this year too on all three days, be ready to take the mic and showcase your talent.
- Indie Hour – This session will bring young musicians from Hyderabad performing their original music for the first time at HLF!
- Revive and Remix Box – A dedicated upcycle box for people to donate their old clothes, books, and old bottles for upcycling.
- Flea Market –An arena dedicated to young and small businesses from Hyderabad in the field of art, photography, thrifting etc!
- Meet the creator – Audience can interact, engage and learn from Creators like comic creators, content creators, podcasters etc
