Sunil Davekar was affected by polio at the age of two, and lost sensation in his legs and the right hand. His left hand had some sensation and after long treatment, recovered 40% movement. He joined a school for special people at the age of 9, and started painting using his left hand. He has participated in many school competitions and is now an acrylic painting artist who works mostly in abstract art. He has done some solo exhibitions too. Playing harmonium and cricket are his hobbies. Making a career in business and taking his art to a professional level are his ambitions.
